MultiChoice has announced a new upgrade for its high-end DStv Explora personal video recorder (PVR) satellite decoder.
A new software update, which will be delivered automatically from 15 September to all active Explora PVR decoders, promises improvements to help viewers navigate and find content more easily.
On DStv Catch Up, there will now be a separate tab for weekly recommendations and additional categories will be provided under the different genres arranged by “newest”, “last chance”, “1st episode” and “A-Z”.
On connected DStv Exploras, users can now choose to download content in either standard- or high-definition. Also, users will be able to schedule downloads for specific times. A new history screen and ready-to-watch option will be introduced.
The DMX music service will also get a refresh to ensure song information is loaded quicker. — (c) 2015 NewsCentral Media
