JSE-listed Blue Label Telecoms’ financial director, David Rivkind, has resigned and will leave the company in mid-November when his employment contract comes to an end.
In a statement, Blue Label says Rivkind has resigned “to pursue other opportunities” and that he has made “an outstanding contribution to Blue Label and its stakeholders”.
Rivkind joined Merrill Lynch in the UK as a financial controller in 1999. He was also briefly employed by Credit Suisse, before returning to South Africa in 2002 where he served as the financial director at Integr8 IT. Thereafter, he joined Blue Label Investments and has served as a director of Blue Label Telecoms.
Replacing Rivkind in November is Dean Suntup, previously a financial director of The Prepaid Company — a Blue Label subsidiary — which he joined in 2005.
Blue Label says Suntup has “always been earmarked” as Rivkind’s successor and that his appointment will take effect from 14 November when Rivkind leaves. — (c) 2013 NewsCentral Media
