Newly listed South African technology group 4Sight Holdings has acquired professional services firm AccTech Systems and its subsidiary Dynamic Africa Services for R120m and R30m respectively.
The acquisitions follow 4Sight’s listing on the JSE’s AltX board in October 2017, which it used to raise capital to fund its expansion plans.
4Sight Holdings CEO Antonie van Rensburg said the acquisitions give the group access to skills around Microsoft Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision) and GP (formerly Great Plains) enterprise solutions.
“Our objective is to provide industry 4.0-related solution services and implement relevant end-to-end technology stacks across key industry verticals, to help companies visualise, digitise, analyse and optimise their data, systems and operations,” Van Rensburg said in a statement.
AccTech, which was founded in 1994, provides enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, human resource, business process management and business intelligence software. Since the advent of cloud computing these enterprise applications were provided on customers’ premises and in silos. There is now demand for these to be integrated, and cloud computing is the way this is being done, said Van Rensburg.
Following the acquisition, AccTech will be better positioned to integrate client systems with other solutions and services offered within the 4Sight Holdings group of companies, he added.
The Dynamics Africa acquisition, meanwhile, gives the group access to the growing Microsoft Dynamics market in the Southern Africa region. — (c) 2018 NewsCentral Media
