Vodacom has hired listed technology group Datatec’s chief financial officer, Ivan Dittrich, as its new group head of finance, replacing Rob Shuter, who will take over as CEO of Vodafone’s operations in The Netherlands on 1 March. Vodacom is a subsidiary of UK-based Vodafone.
According to Vodacom, Dittrich will join Vodacom in July. “Ivan joins the group from Datatec, where he has been the chief financial officer since May 2008 and executive director on the board of Datatec since March 2008,” it says in a statement to shareholders.
Prior to that, Dittrich held a “number of senior executive positions for the past 12 years at Datatec, including that of group corporate director, corporate finance manager and company secretary. He successfully managed Datatec’s dual listing in London in 2006. Prior to joining Datatec, Ivan worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and Deloitte in SA.”
Dittrich will also join the Vodacom Group board.
At the same time, Datatec has appointed Rob Evans as its new chief financial officer, with effect from 1 June. Evans has held a wide range of international operational and financial roles, both within Datatec and in a number of other international companies. — Staff reporter, TechCentral
