IBM SA country GM Oliver Fortuin has stepped down in order to establish his own business. Long-serving IBM executive Abraham Thomas will take on the role.
Abraham, who has been with IBM in a number of executive roles, including MD of IBM India and IBM Global Services India, has a business administration degree from the National University of Singapore. He has also previously served as vice-president of general business and director of the financial services sector at IBM in South Asia.
Most recently, he has been vice-president of the systems and technology group for IBM’s growth markets unit, based in Shanghai. — (c) 2012 NewsCentral Media
